At the Family Health Clinic, we are open for normal appointments at our usual hours. If you have postponed your wellness appointments or chronic care visits due to COVID-19, now is the time to call and schedule a new appointment!
Below, you’ll find information about the protocols we have put into place to protect you as our patient.
Family Health Clinic Patient Protection Plan
Here are the processes we have to protect you during your upcoming visits:
- Before appointments are made, screening questions will be asked by our staff to keep those with COVID-19 symptoms or exposure from coming into the clinic.
- Patients with appointments will be screened again at the front desk.
- We will continue only to allow one parent or guardian to come with children. No siblings may come unless they also have an appointment.
- For adults, only the patient will be able to attend their appointment.
- Patients may come directly into the waiting areas. You will be required to wear a mask. Masks & hand sanitizing products will be by the front door.
- Masks will continue to be required in the clinic for all patients and for our staff.
- Medical Assistants will clean rooms between each patient utilizing alcohol-based wipes.
- Just as we are screening you, we will also screen our staff. All team members will continue to have their temperature checked every morning when they arrive to work.
- Even if you have been vaccinated, we will ask you to wear a mask and practice caution. You can learn more about the CDC’s recommendations for those who have been fully vaccinated here.
One Option: Seeing a Provider Without Coming to the Clinic
Do you want to see a provider but don’t yet want to come into the clinic? Call us at (800) 321-5043 to make a Telehealth video appointment with your provider.
COVID-19 Testing Update
We have been administering drive-thru COVID-19 tests at all four Family Health Clinic locations. If you have any questions about this, please call us at (800) 321-5043.
Protecting Yourself
Although restrictions are lifting, it is important for you to continue to take precautions to avoid being exposed to COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the following ways to limit your risk of exposure:
- Wash Your Hands Often: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Avoid Close Contact: Avoid close contact with people who are sick, even inside your home. Also, keep distance between yourself and other people outside of your home (at least 6 feet).
- Cover Your Mouth and Nose With a Cloth Face Cover When Around Others: Everyone should wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public, for example, to the grocery store or to pick up other necessities. Click here and scroll to the bottom to learn how you can create your own masks at home!
- Cover Coughs and Sneezes: If you are in a private setting and do not have on your cloth face covering, remember always to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
- Clean and Disinfect: Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
- Monitor Your Health: Be alert for symptoms. Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other signs of COVID-19.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
