As 2017 draws to an end, we decided to take a look back at some of our favorite moments. Many of these top moments feature our great community members and the new services, staff, and even a building that will expand our excellent care.

Opening the New Family Health Clinic Contact Center

If you’ve called the Family Health Clinic over the past few months, you might have noticed that we have a new way of answering our phones. This is part of our new phone system and the new Family Health Clinic Contact Center. We are excited to have opened the Contact Center in 2017 with the goal to give you the best access to your health care and provide fast scheduling assistance.

Celebrating National Health Clinic Week in the Community

This year, National Health Center Week was from August 13-19, and as a health center – we celebrating! This year, we had a Family Health Clinic Meet & Greet at each of our clinics on different says of the week. We hosted a community training that educated adults on how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to the reality of child sexual abuse. To cap the celebrations, we walked through our communities!

Expanding our Behavioral Health Capabilities through Telehealth

In our continued effort to give the community the highest quality of health services, we gave our patients access to Teleheath, a behavioral health service.  Telehealth utilizes technology similar to Skype and Facetime, to improve patient health by allowing interactions between you, the patient, and a healthcare provider, even when the provider is not able to be physically in the room with you.

The Groundbreaking of the New Family Health Clinic of Monon Building

In August, we held a groundbreaking ceremony at the future home of the Family Health Clinic of Monon! This groundbreaking both kicked-off the beginning of the building process and allowed the community to have a sneak peak at what our future clinic will look like. We’re excited for 2018, when the building will complete.

Attending More Community Events than Ever

Over the past year, our wonderful outreach team, Barb and Kaylee, and members of our staff worked together to attend more community events than ever before. We hope you saw us out and about this year, whether it was at the Monon Food Fest, Carroll County Fair, Old Settlers’ Days, or one of the many other events!

Addressing Myths and Answering Questions about Health Clinics

This year, we were excited to be able to address common myths about community health center , raise awareness about the importance of primary care, and discuss why our status as a patient centered medical home is beneficial to you and your healthcare.
