A Conversation With Benjamin

What drew you to the Family Health Clinic?

I am drawn to the focus on patient-centered care, that patients can come to the Family Health Clinic to have multiple needs addressed, and that I can take my time during appointments to get to know what I can best do to help my patients.

What are you most looking forward to about working at The Family Health Clinic?

I feel privileged to be working alongside a caring and knowledgeable team of providers. I am most looking forward to being part of the small day-to-day changes that help patients reach their health goals.

What is your favorite part of being a Nurse Practitioner?

I love the variety of patient ages and conditions that I encounter as a nurse practitioner; each day is different and I look forward to that. I also enjoy the personal relationships and conversations that I can have with my patients as I get to know them.

Why do you think the Family Health Clinic is important to the community?

I believe communities prosper when health care providers can care for the whole person: physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I am excited to be able to build relationships within the community and be part of a clinic team that values the well-being of the community.

What is your specialty, and what made you choose that specialty?

I chose family practice because I enjoy working with patients of all ages, from newborn to the elderly. I also enjoy getting to know my patients and being able to minister to them, by having in-depth conversations with them, and addressing the variety of needs they may have.

Is there anything else you want to share about yourself?

My wife and I are proud parents to two sweet boys. I enjoy spending quality time with family, watching TV shows, and playing the trumpet. I am a Consecrated Lutheran Deacon, having completed several years of training in ministry and service-focused care.

Benjamin, we are so happy to have you as part of the Family Health Clinic!
