Jennifer’s Education & Work Experience
Jennifer earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, bringing over 30 years of experience in the field since 1993. Her professional background spans community mental health, criminal justice and corrections, and Medication-Assisted Treatment programs, with a strong focus on substance use disorders.

What drew you to the Family Health Clinic?
I am passionate about being part of an integrated healthcare system, where I can collaborate closely with other providers to support individuals and families. Working together ensures we deliver seamless, continuous care that meets the unique needs of our patients.
As a Behavioral Health Specialist, what are your duties at the Family Health Clinic? Do you have any specialties?
I will be providing a variety of mental health services for our patients, including substance abuse counseling. I have a background in community mental health, criminal justice and corrections, and Medication-Assisted Treatment programs, and have always had an interest in helping those with substance use disorders.
What are you most looking forward to while working at the Family Health Clinic?
I enjoy being part of a close-knit team where we can collaborate to provide the best possible care for our patients. Organizations like the Family Health Clinic are critical to our communities because they help to provide everyone with access to quality healthcare services, no matter where they’re located.
