Introducing Telehealth: Our New Behavioral Health Service

By The Family Health Clinic Team

At the Family Health Clinic, we’re constantly working to give you access to the latest in quality health care. That is why we are excited to announce our new behavioral health service – Telehealth.

Telehealth utilizes technology similar to Skype and Facetime, to improve patient health by allowing interactions between you, the patient, and a health care provider, even when the provider is not able to be physically in the room with you.

TELEHEALTH AT THE FAMILY HEALTH CLINIC

Telehealth will be used to connect patients with a behavioral health provider so that you can speak to a member of your health care team faster and more conveniently than you would if you had to wait to be in person.

Your provider will be able to give you the following services:

  • Individual, family, and couples counseling
  • Grief counseling
  • Stress management
BENEFITS OF TELEHEALTH

Telehealth has many benefits, such as:

  • Greater access to care from your health care team
  • No need to travel long distances
  • Faster consultation
  • A high quality care in a quiet, relaxing setting
  • Flexible appointment scheduling
  • Eliminating the need to take off entire days of work to go to appointment
  • Saving time and money!
A SECURE APPOINTMENT

Since you will be connecting to your behavioral health provider at a clinic via technology, special precautions have been taken into consideration to ensure privacy. These precautions will deter accidental overhear.

Additionally, your connection to your behavioral health provider is over a secure, HIPAA-compliant connection called Secure Video. Your visit will be just as secure as a normal visit to the clinic.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM COUNSELING

Counseling is a place where you can discuss concerns you have about your health, your relationships, your job, your school, and other important issues. Your behavioral health provider works closely with your primary care provider to meet your physical, mental, and emotional health needs.

Just like your primary care provider, your behavioral health provider will work with you to develop goals and strategies to address any problems you may be experiencing.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, TODAY

If you are interested in making a Telehealth appointment, speak with a member of your primary health care team at the Delphi, Monon, Wolcott, or Burlington clinics.

The appointment can be made for you, for a time that is convenient to you. You’ll be able to speak to your behavioral health provider using the new technology at whichever clinic is closest to your location.
