Celebrate National Health Center Week With Us!

By The Family Health Clinic Team

This year, National Health Center Week is from August 13-19, and as a health center – we’re celebrating! Keep reading to learn more about why health centers are important and to find out what we’re doing in the local communities surrounding the Family Health Clinics to celebrate.

Why are health centers important?

One in every fifteen people living in the United States depends on health center services. Not only that, but Health Centers also continue to be ranked among the highest quality and cost effect care providers in the nation. Some added bonuses of having a local Health Center is that Health Centers can act as a critical economic engine and help power the local economy.

As a Health Center, we are proud to service all people, regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance status.

We recently debunked some myths that people have about community Health Centers, so feel free to learn more about Health Centers by checking out this post.

Darkness to Light – Stewards of Children

On Friday, August 18th from 9AM – 11AM, we’ll be hosting a community training, Darkness to Light – Stewards of Children, at the Family Health Clinic of Delphi. This training is offered by the Hartford House and has been designed to educate adults on how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to the reality of child sexual abuse. We hope that Stewards of Children will inspire you to take personal responsibility in preventing this epidemic.

To register for this event, email barb.hickner@gmail.com!

Community Walk

Around lunchtime, from 12-1, the Family Health Clinic staff will take a walk in the communities surrounding our clinics. Feel free to join us for part or all of this walk, or ask questions about who we are and what we do if you see us in your area.

A Thank You to the Community

A your community health center, we are so grateful to have been able to serve in this community over the past years, and we look forward to providing care for many years to come.
